Kelly Clarkson: Stronger

STEP 1

Play the song at the beginning of the lesson.  This song should be well known among the students. If you wish you can go into the lyrics, but the main idea is in the chorus. Ask students if they understand the meaning.

STEP 2

Ask students to come up with stories where they experienced the “what doesn’t kill you makes you stronger” effect. Have them share orally or write them down. The stories can be shared in a wiki or in a Google doc for others to read. (it is really easy and free to create a wiki site for your students here ). Help them with feedback and advice. If a discussion opens up… don’t hinder it. Go with the flow 🙂
